Setting Your Coaching Goals
How you will be prompted
You will receive an email notification when it is time to set your goals, with a direct link to the Goals section on the platform. If your programme includes MyPulse, you can also move straight into goal setting after reviewing your assessment report.

Two ways goals can be suggested
How your goals appear depends on your programme setup. If your programme includes MyPulse, one or two goals will already be suggested for you on the goals screen, based on your assessment results. These are drawn from the behavioural patterns your MyPulse report identified and are there to give you a considered starting point, not a fixed answer.
If your programme does not include MyPulse, or if you are setting goals independently, you will go straight to the goals list and browse from there by selecting Add Goal.
Either way, every goal includes a description so you can understand what it covers before committing to it.

Choosing what is right for you
Your goals are personal. If MyPulse has suggested goals that do not feel right, select Change Goal to explore the full list and find what genuinely aligns with where you want to go. Take your time here. The goals you set will shape your entire coaching journey, so it is worth choosing ones that feel both challenging and meaningful.
Depending on your programme, some goals may be pre-set or mandatory. If that is the case, they will appear in your goals screen automatically.

Submitting your goals
Once you are happy with your selections and ratings, submit your goals. If your programme requires a minimum number of goals, you will need to reach that number before the submit option becomes available.

Your first coaching session
Your first session is where you and your coach will review your goals together. This is a good opportunity to add context, refine the wording, and make sure your goals truly reflect what you want to work on. Goals are typically locked after this session, though timing can vary by programme.
