Your Line Manager's Role in Your Coaching Journey
What to expect
Your line manager is a supporting part of your coaching programme. They are not involved in your sessions or your conversations with your coach, but there are a few moments where they play an active role. Knowing what those are means nothing comes as a surprise.
When you register
When you join Mindbeat, your line manager receives an email letting them know you have started the programme. This is simply a notification. They do not gain access to anything on your profile at this stage.

When your goals are set
Once your goals have been confirmed, your line manager receives a notification and is asked to rate your current effectiveness and share their observations. Before this happens, it is worth checking that your line manager's email address is correct on your goals page. If it is wrong, they will not receive the notification and their feedback will not come through.

Once they have submitted their feedback, you will receive a notification asking you to log in and review it. Take the time to read it carefully before your next coaching session. It is a useful input and your coach may refer to it in your conversations.

What your line manager cannot see
Your line manager does not have access to your coaching sessions, your notes, your MyPulse Diagnose Report, or any conversations between you and your coach. Your coaching space is private.
At the end of the programme
At the end of your coaching journey, your line manager will be asked to provide feedback one more time. They will reflect on your progress against the goals you set at the start. It is a moment for them to recognise how far you have come across the programme.
