Tips to Solve 99% of Video Call Issues

Here are some quick troubleshooting tips to help you (or the other person on your call) resolve most problems:

  1. Use Google Chrome and Reload the Video Page

Google Chrome is the most stable browser for in-browser video calls.

If you're not already using it, download it here.

Reload the video page by clicking the "reload" icon (shown below).

  1. Restart Your Browser

Fully quit your browser (not just closing the window).

On a Mac, make sure to actually Quit the application and then reopen it.

  1. Close Other Applications Using Camera/Microphone

Applications like Zoom, Skype, or Teams might be "hogging" your camera or mic.

Close them and then restart Chrome.

  1. Camera or Microphone Blocked?

If you see a message asking you to "unblock" your camera/microphone or if the other person can't see or hear you follow these instructions to grant permissions.

  1. Seeing "No Cam / No Mic"?

This indicates your computer’s operating system isn’t communicating with the browser. Try rebooting your computer or switching to a different browser.

  1. Reboot Your Computer

A reboot can quickly fix many hidden issues without the need for detailed troubleshooting.
