Testing video call setup
Google Chrome
Google Chrome is currently the most advanced browser to use - if you're experiencing any difficulty in getting set up, consider downloading it from here and using it instead. It's safe, secure and free.
Test you camera
Can you see yourself in the bottom left corner of the video screen above? If not - you may need to grant Mindbeat access to your microphone and camera. These instructions will help.
Test your microphone
Confirm that your microphone is set up correctly by clicking on the "More" button (which is on the bottom right of the video pod, next to "Network") and then "Camera/microphone Settings" on the video player above. The orange indicator next to "Mic" will react to noises picked up by your microphone. Not working? These instructions will help.
If you're using a headset you'll need to ensure that it's switched on and plugged in correctly. The drop down next to "Mic" can be used to change the selected microphone to use for the call - something worth trying if you're having trouble.
Test your speaker
On the same screen as testing your microphone, confirm that your speaker is set up correctly by clicking on the "Play test sound" link to ensure that you'll be able to hear everything well on your call. The drop down next to "Speakers" can be used to change the selected speaker to use for the call - something worth trying if you're having trouble.
