Testing Your Video Call Setup
Use Google Chrome:
Google Chrome is the most advanced and reliable browser for video calls.
If you're having trouble getting set up, we recommend downloading Chrome here . It's safe, secure, and free to use.
Test Your Camera:
Check if you can see yourself in the bottom left corner of the video screen.
If you can't see yourself, you may need to grant Mindbeat access to your camera and microphone. Follow these instructions if needed.
Test Your Microphone:
To ensure your microphone is working:
- Click the "More" button (bottom right of the video screen, next to "Network").
- Select "Camera/Microphone Settings."
- Speak into your microphone — the orange indicator next to "Mic" should move in response to your voice.
If it's not working, refer to these instructions.
If you're using a headset, make sure it’s properly plugged in and powered on. You can also use the dropdown menu next to "Mic" to select the correct microphone for your call — this is a helpful step if you're experiencing any issues.
Test Your Speaker:
While on the same settings screen:
- Click "Play Test Sound" to check if you can hear the audio properly.
- If necessary, use the dropdown menu next to "Speakers" to select a different speaker device.
