Testing Your Video Call Setup
Running a quick test before your first session takes a few minutes and saves you from discovering a problem once your coach is already waiting.
Use Google Chrome
Chrome is the most reliable browser for video calls on the platform. If you are not already using it, download it for free at google.com/chrome.
Test your camera
Once you are in the video room, check the bottom left corner of the screen. If you can see yourself, your camera is working. If you cannot, you will need to grant Mindbeat permission to access your camera and microphone. Follow these instructions to do that.
Test your microphone
Click the More button in the bottom right of the video screen, next to Network, then select Camera/Microphone Settings. Speak into your microphone and watch the orange indicator next to Mic. If it moves in response to your voice, your microphone is picking up sound correctly.
If you are using a headset, make sure it is plugged in and powered on before you start. You can also use the dropdown menu next to Mic to switch between microphone devices if you have more than one connected.
If the indicator does not move, follow these instructions to troubleshoot permissions.

Test your speakers
On the same settings screen, click Play Test Sound. If you can hear it, your speakers are working. If not, use the dropdown menu next to Speakers to select a different audio output device.
